Civica facilitates retreats that turn stakeholder input into a clear strategic direction.

The Bay Planning Coalition (BPC) had recently gone through a leadership transition and asked Civica to help sharpen its strategic direction — across advocacy, educational programs, events, and fundraising.

Working closely with the executive director, Civica helped BPC draft a set of proposed strategic goals, then tested and refined them with input from their stakeholders. We fielded a survey, interviewed Board members on the draft goals, and designed and facilitated an afternoon Board retreat to finalize them.

The Impact: After the retreat, BPC refreshed its mission and vision statements; defined and prioritized four strategic goals; and realigned some of its internal structures to maximize membership engagement. The result was a sharp and actionable strategic plan.
